Safety & verification
How do you actually verify a driver?
Every driver uploads their CNIC, driving licence and vehicle registration, plus a photo of the number plate. A member of our team opens each document and either approves it, rejects it, or asks for a clearer copy. Until that passes, the driver's account stays in Pending and they cannot see or bid on a single route.
Is approval the only check?
No — there is a second gate. An approved driver still cannot see the job feed until they have set the areas they pick up from and the schools they serve, and uploaded at least three photos of the van. Parents look at the vehicle before anything else, so we do not let a driver reach them without it.
Can a pending driver contact me?
No. A driver who has not been approved cannot see your route, cannot submit an offer, and has no way to start a chat with you.
Do you track the van live on a map?
Yes. Open Track Van Driver on an active contract and the map shows the van's last recorded position, with the time it was recorded. Tracking runs while a child is aboard — it begins when the driver marks the first pickup and stops once the run is finished, rather than following the driver all day.
What if I'm unhappy with a driver mid-term?
You can end the contract from the driver's profile in the app and post the route again. If the problem is serious, contact support: our admin team can suspend or block that driver, which removes them from every job feed immediately.
Where do reviews come from?
Only from parents who have actually had a contract with that driver, one review each. They appear in full on the driver's public profile, alongside their average rating and how many contracts they have completed.
Routes, offers & contracts
Do I have to accept the first offer I get?
No. Offers stay open and you can take as long as you need. Compare the price, the vehicle, the driver's rating and their written reviews, and message any of them before deciding. You can also send a counter-price; the driver accepts it by re-submitting their offer at that figure.
I have three children at two different schools. Does that work?
Yes. Add each child with their own school — pinned on a map — class and weekly timings. You can post one route covering several children going the same way, or separate routes handled by different drivers. Everything stays in one account.
What exactly is a contract?
When you accept an offer, Vano creates a contract holding the agreed monthly price, the named children, the days and times, and the start date. You and the driver see the same record, and so can our admin team if there is ever a dispute.
Can I cancel a contract?
Yes. Either side can end a contract, which also closes the underlying route and notifies the other side. You are then free to post the route again.
I already know a driver. Can I just use them?
Add them by their phone number, and Vano will invite them to bid on your route. They still have to be a verified Vano driver — knowing someone does not bypass the checks.
Daily tracking & alerts
What do I actually get told each day?
Your driver marks each child picked up and dropped off, on the way to school and on the way home. That is up to four moments per child per day, and each one sends you a notification the instant it is tapped.
Can a driver mark a trip twice, or out of order?
No. The server holds one record per child, per direction, per day, and it refuses a drop-off for a child who has not been marked picked up. The driver's buttons are driven by what the server says is allowed, not by the app guessing.
Whose clock decides what counts as today?
Ours, on Pakistan time. A phone with the wrong date cannot file a trip against the wrong day.
Subscriptions & billing
What happens after my 15 free days end?
The app keeps working — you can still post routes, compare offers, chat and manage contracts. What pauses is the pickup and drop-off alerts and the live map. Both return as soon as a Monthly or Yearly plan is active on your account.
Do I pay per child?
Yes. The plan price buys one child's place, and the app multiplies it by how many children are on your account. The subscription records exactly which children it covers, so there is never a question later about who was paid for.
How do I pay for a subscription?
From Subscription in the parent app: choose a plan and pay on a secure card page. The plan switches on when the payment clears, and nothing is charged if you abandon it half-way. Our support team can also activate a plan by hand.
Is there any charge for drivers?
None. Registration, verification, browsing routes and submitting offers are all free for drivers, and Vano takes no commission on any contract.
What exactly does a plan buy?
Two things, and they are really one: the pickup and drop-off alerts, and the live map that shows where the van is. Everything else always reaches you, plan or no plan — offers on your routes, chat messages, document decisions and announcements from Vano.
Accounts
Why is there no password?
Vano signs you in with your mobile number and a one-time code. There is no password to forget, reuse or have stolen.
Is the parent app the same app as the driver one?
Yes — one download. You choose parent or driver the first time you open it, and that choice decides which half of the app you see.
Can I change my mobile number?
Not from inside the app yet — your number is the account. Contact support and we will help you move to a new one.
How do I delete my account?
Contact support from the app or the contact page. Active contracts have to be ended first, so nobody is left without notice.
